On Saturday February 27, 2021, the Lord called Helen Lenore Martinez, 82, of Denver, Colorado, home.
The funeral service will be held on March 12th at 11am at Horan & McConaty.
Monsignor Edward L. Buelt will be officiating. Due to COVID, attendance is by invitation only.

Helen was born in Canon City, Colorado on May 26, 1938. She graduated from Salida High School and continued on to become a paralegal for the law offices of Greenberg and Valarie Malara for more than 20 years.
Helen was married to Arthur Martinez on December 2, 1956. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this past December.
Traveling was one of Helen’s favorite hobbies where she visited more than 15 different countries including Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. She was also actively involved in the Senior Group at Notre Dame Parish where she was a parishioner for over 45 years. Helen had a passion for sponsoring many children from overseas and well as theater where her and her sister-in-law Maggie had season tickets to many different venues.
Helen is survived by her loving husband Arthur; three children, Steve, Doug and Lisa; her four grandchildren, John Stephen, William, Sara and Casey; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Luke; and her sister Betty.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Hilda, and siblings Lawrence, Dorothy, Don, Margaret and Harry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Helen’s favorite charity, The Denver Rescue Mission.
