Harry Winter, 85 of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away May 1, 2019. Born in Severance, Colorado to Henry and Frida Winter. Graduate of Greeley High School and DeVry Technical Institute. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University. Harry worked for Martin Marietta where he and his team were featured in an issue of National Geographic magazine. He worked on many space exploration projects including Titan, Skylab, Gemini, and the Viking Mars Lander. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed fishing, golfing, working on cars, classical music and spending time in Rocky Mountain National Park. Survived by his children Carrie Winter and Doug (Kathryn) Winter; Sister Darlene (Franklin) Peters; granddaughter MA 3rd class USN Hailee (Leo) Winter, and longtime friend and companion Flo Kitashima.
Proceeded in death by his parents Frida and Henry Winter, granddaughter Savannah Winter, siblings Gladys Judy and HM Wilbert Winter.
Funeral Service May 10 at 2 pm at Fellowship Covenant Church, 5615 E. 64th Avenue in Arvada, Colorado.
