Harry Burton, 67, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, Patti, at his side, April 8, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Sr. and Sonya Burton and his brother, Robert.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia G. Burton, whom he married on June 24, 1978. The couple was looking forward to celebrating their 37th year of marriage this summer. Harry and his wife, Patti, moved from Illinois to Colorado in 1980. He loved the mountains and hiking with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Nichole Burton and Apryl Burton Walker and Luke (son in law) Walker. Harry had one grandson, Harry C. Walker, his namesake, 15 months old. He was extremely proud and honored that his first grandson was named after him.
Harry was born on June 4, 1947 in Chicago, Ill. He was a 1966 graduate of Springfield High school, Springfield, Illinois. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University and University of Illinois with three Masters Degrees. His passion was history and archeology. He loved to travel the world and explore the great pyramids in Egypt and Mexico and the mountains of Machu Picchu, Peru. He was quite the World War II expert and collector. He was a docent at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in the Egyptian, Mayan and Aztec cultures.
If there was one word to describe Harry, it was "Loyalty". Loyalty meant everything to him. If you were a friend of his, you were a friend for life!
Harry was officially retired from his long time career at Lockheed Martin as a Material Planner on the MX Missile and other major aerospace projects. He also worked at Loral Aerospace in Colorado Springs.
The family would like to thank The Walkers and JetLinx Aviation for their generosity in providing a private jet to bring Harry home from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. We would also like to thank Agape Healthcare Hospice Services for its personal care of Harry and the wonderful support of Salus Homecare especially given by Humberto.
Harry will forever be remembered by his family and close friends.
