Hannelore Cook

April 3, 1939 — June 27, 2018

Hannelore Hildegarde Cook

Born April 3rd 1939 - Memmingen Germany

Passed June 27th 2018 - Thornton, Co.

Aunt Halo as she was known by her family, was born in Germany and shortly after moved to New York. Her Father Hans, Mother Johanna, and sister Gertrude lived in Queens for most of their childhood. Her and her sister moved to Colorado and then Halo moved to Panorama City, CA. where she practiced Electrolysis. She moved to Denver, CO. to take care of her Mother in the early 90's. One of the most important things in her life was taking care of her dogs. She was very set in her beliefs and was always generous with giving to organizations that she was passionate about.

Halo was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking all of the Holiday treats for family and friends. She was meticulous in filling Holiday tins with authentic German cookies, desserts, and breads year after year. She was always thoughtful sending cards for all occasions. She would always follow up to share how much she enjoyed her time after family gatherings. She loved planting her bulbs and taking care of her flowers. She loved spending time watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. She loved her country, her politics, her family, her dogs, her Church, the Lord, her friends, and classical music. Her signature Pasta Carbonara dish will be passed along through the family in her memory. She will be dearly missed by all.

Halo is survived by her niece, Peggy and husband Steve, and her two nephews Todd and wife Laura and Eric. Great nieces, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Hanna, Kensley, and Berkley. Great Nephews, Robert and fiance Meghan, Trevor, Bret, and Miles. And last but certainly not least her beloved dog Bandit.
