Gregory Hagan – Greg – Passed Away February 25, 2021

Greg was born in Minnesota to Bob and Mary Hagan and lived in many states, but he chose Colorado as his home. After earning his Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, Greg worked as a photojournalist in California. Greg moved to Colorado where he built, from the ground up, a commercial roofing company, and he then went into real estate. He had a successful residential real estate career with RE/MAX Alliance for 32 years. Greg found his purpose in working with sellers in distress situations, doing everything he could to help them.

In his free time, Greg pursued his passion for photography. Underwater creatures and whales, nature, sunsets, sunrises, full moons, and the stars filled his soul and his photographs, which he took when scuba diving, camping, hiking, and fishing. His Life Partner, children, or one of his siblings were usually by his side sharing his love of these outdoor activities.

Scuba diving with his Life Partner and children in the Cayman Islands for over 25 years gave Greg great joy and he felt like the island was their 2nd home. Greg loved attending Bronco games with Cory and downhill skiing with Emilee! They were special times he shared with each of his children. He enjoyed taking Blake and Briana on adventure outings and watching them and playing Electronic Guesstures with them at family gatherings.

Greg’s joy of life continued, with his Labradoodle puppy MyJo often found in his lap, through his valiant fight against cancer. So very sadly, COVID greatly affected his ability to spend time safely with those he loved.

Greg is survived by his long-term Life Partner, Laura Wade; his Children, Emilee and Cory Hagan; his Grandchildren, Blake and Briana Hagan; his Siblings: Jane Hagan (Ed), Therese Campbell (Tom), Anne Hagan, and Bill (Tracy), Mike (Laurie), John, and Max Hagan; and Nieces and Nephews.

Greg had a special place in his heart for veterans and the homeless, supporting the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, the Denver Rescue Mission, and Wounded Warriors. He also volunteered with the Red Cross for several years, driving people to their medical appointments, which he found fulfilling and touching.

Following Greg’s wishes, he was cremated. The family will celebrate Greg’s life this summer at a private gathering in the mountains and next year at the ocean.
