Gladys Martin

Gladys Irene Enlow Martin, 91, of Lakewood, CO, formerly of Centralia, IL went to heaven Saturday, June 2, 2012, cause of death pneumonia. She was born to the late Francis Marion Enlow and Sarah Elizabeth Finckbone Enlow on July 24, 1920. She was married to James Wesley Martin and he predeceased her on December 6, 2008. She was also predeceased by siblings: Mary, Jess, Ben, Nell, Roy, Freida, and Ray. She is survived by two children, Janet Martin of Castle Rock, CO; Linda Thorpe and her husband Terry of Franktown, CO; and five grandchildren, James, Megan, Holly, Benjamin and Sarah. Gladys will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend who loved to bowl. She counted her blessings every evening, and thanked the Lord every morning for another day to live. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. A graveside service will be held June 20th, 2:20pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area B, Denver, CO, reception to follow at Ken Caryl Church, 8395 W Ken Caryl Ave, Littleton, CO 80128.
