Gerda Settergren

Gerda E. Settergren, age 86, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at her home in Broomfield, CO, surrounded by her loving family. Gerda was born in Muskegon, MI, on February 10, 1929, to Marie (Kuklei) and E. Otto Hager, who preceded her in death. She was married to Clifford H. Settergren for 35 devoted years until his death in 1988. She is survived by her sister, Ilse Bomers of Muskegon, her brother Oswald Hager of Whitehall, MI, her children Susan Settergren of Atlanta, GA, Kathy Hansen and her husband, Kai, of Sugar Grove, IL, Randall Settergren and his wife, Teresa and their sons, Ryan, Jared, and Andrew, and an extended family that meant so very much to her. Family and friends near and afar will miss the love, kindness, and compassion she shared with us all.

She will be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery in Muskegon beside her loving husband. Gerda's final wish, to transition peacefully at home with her family at her side, was granted. This was made possible with the services of the hospice organization, TRU Community Care, and their amazing caregivers.
