Gena Mantz

Gena E. (Parker) Mantz passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

Gena was born September 30, 1963 in Denver, Colorado, to Gene and Phyllis Parker. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1982 and soon after met the love of her life William "Bill" Mantz. They married in 1989 and have one son, Andrew "Andy" Mantz. Together they shared a life full of fun, laughter and love.

Gena worked in the accounting field for over 20 years. She enjoyed crafting, cooking and making treasured gifts for her family and friends. Watching rodeos and going camping were also among her favorite activities. All who knew her loved her great sense of humor.

Gena accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and lived a life dedicated to her Christian faith. Northern Colorado Cowboy Church was her church home. When she couldn't be there in person she would watch the services on Facebook.

Gena was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis, and grandmother, Marie Distel.

She is survived by, and will be deeply missed by, her husband Bill Mantz, son Andy Mantz, father Gene Parker, brother Scott (Gina) Parker, uncle Jerry Zambo, aunt Betty Thompson, mother-in-law Ellen Hansen, father-in-law Roger (Taren) Mantz, sister-in-law Kathy Holdren, sister-in-law Chris (Steve) Johnson, sister-in-law Becky (Luke) Lind, brother-in-law Tyler (Candiss) Mantz, and numerous cousins.

A memorial service is being held Saturday, September 8, 10:00 a.m., at Northern Colorado Cowboy Church. The church is located at 33131 US Hwy 85, Lucerne CO (just north of Greeley on Hwy 85 and Hwy 392).

Donations may be made in Gena's name to the American Cancer Society.
