Gary Westbrook

Gary Lee Westbrook, 70 of Aurora, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home of natural causes on the morning of Sunday, October 1st 2017. Born as an only child to Talmadge and Hazel Westbrook on March 9th, 1947 in Chicago, IL.

Gary spent his early years in South Chicago, where he excelled as an athlete at Tuley High School. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Colorado, got married and raised four children. Gary spent the rest of his life working hard to provide for his family; whether he was hauling propane tanks, straining his back and knees laying carpet, or waking up in the early morning to work long hours protecting our airport. He loved his coworkers, friends, and especially his family. He was an avid sports fan that spent many of his years as a youth baseball coach and mentor. He was a kind and decent man that was loved by all that knew him. Gary is survived by his four children: Jeffery, Daniel, Kari, and Joshua, and was processed in death by his wife of 38 years, Sallie.
