Gary Salinas

Gary L. Salinas passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Parker, CO with his family by his side after a short battle with liver cancer.

Gary was born to Elsie and Emilio Salinas in Honolulu, HI on August 19, 1961. Growing up, he lived in San Diego, CA, McAllen, TX and Mountain View, CA before finally
settling in Milpitas, CA, where he lived for over 50 years.

Gary married Donna Taylor, on May 1, 1982. Over the next 39 years, his family grew to include both children and grandchildren. Gary and Donna moved to CO in 2018 and they remained married until his recent passing.

At the age of 17, Gary started an entry level job at McDonald’s and worked his way up to Director of Operations over the next 24 years. Throughout the rest of his career, he worked as a Franchise Area Director for Wienerschnitzel for 13 years and also held positions at Five Guys and Papa Murphy’s Pizza. Gary was an excellent leader who loved mentoring and training others. He was known for his gentle manner, his listening ear, and his ability to find common ground when dealing with difficult situations.

At the age of 46, Gary made the most important decision of his life when he repented of his sins and placed his faith in Jesus Christ. His faith in Christ gave him hope that this life was not the end and that he would have eternal life with God.

Gary loved his family very much and is survived by his wife, parents, brothers, children and grandchildren.

All are welcome at his memorial service, which will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11am at Parker Hills Bible Fellowship (7137 Parker Hills Ct., Parker, CO, 80138.)
