Gary Lowell Moody (64) passed away May 23, 2021.

Gary graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1974 and was a welder by trade. He worked for WW Steel in Albuquerque before moving to Denver where he worked for Den-Col Supply. He moved back to his home state of New Mexico several years ago to Cubero to be near family. He enjoyed playing his guitar and carried his harmonica wherever he went. He also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and hanging with his dog Tuwaka.

Gary is survived by his children, Anitra (Matthew) Jax, Juliette (Torsten) Rohde, Jenni (David) O’Bryon, Sara Summers, Christopher Moody, and stepdaughter, Rhea Summers; grand-children, Elijah, and Carson; mother, Mary Helen Lopez; brother, Bobby (Caroline) Moody; sisters, Donna Moody, Carol Moody, and Mary Moody; stepbrothers, Andrew (Sophia) Lopez and Patrick (Barbara) Lopez. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Robert Moody; stepfather, Alonzo Lopez; stepson, Michael Summers; brother, Johnny (Desiree) Moody; step-bother Johnny Lopez; and stepsisters Eileen Gallegos and Bernadette (Erin) Lopez.

In addition to his immediate family, he is loved by all his nieces and nephews and will be missed by everyone including many aunts, cousins and friends.

His memorial service will be held at New Beginnings Church of God. Officiated by Pastor Richard Mansfield; 4770 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 on Saturday June 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral procession to Cubero Cemetery immediately following the service.
