Furmen Daniel Leyba, 66, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at The Denver Hospice.
Furmen is survived by his, daughters Veronica Leyba, Priscilla (Jason) Mckee, sons Furmen Lee Leyba, Ray Cordero Leyba, mother Louise Lucero, brother Renee Huerena, and sisters Shirley Chavez, Augustina Redmond, Lois Chavez, Madeline Huerena, Paula Tafoya, Murrine Jaramillo, as well as many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Furmen worked as CNA and got gratification from helping the disabled and elderly. He enjoyed watching and playing all sports but playing hand ball and pool were his favorites. He enjoyed wrestling and boxing. He loved music and was a man of many talents. Furmen will be remember for his amazing sense of humor and charm.
A special thank you to the helping hands of Inez Chavez his girlfriend and care giver who Furmen appreciated and loved very much. Also, thank you to Denver Hospice for their loving efforts and support in assisting us with all of the necessary resources to honor his last wishes of staying at home as long as he did. Last, thank you to Cremation Society of Colorado and Monsignor Edward Buelt for all of the funeral arrangements put in place.
Funeral services for Furmen will be at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 6:00pm.
