Fred passed away at home on Wednesday, August 3rd after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Fred was born in New York on July 17, 1955. In the late 1970's Fred moved from New York to California where he had the time of his life and made many new friends. Fred then settled down in Denver in 1982 where he worked travel customer service and eventually retired from United Airlines in 2012.
Fred had a knack for making everyone around him feel special. Birthdays and Holidays were exceptional due to Fred's creative streak. Fred always made friends easily. Whether it was by the pool in Hawaii, walking down the street in New York, at a concert or a show, or simply out to dinner Fred made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Fred and Dan met in 1992 at a party for a mutual friend. After sometime they both agreed moving in together would be a great idea-and it was. They enjoyed almost 24 years together, and were officially married on March 17, 2015. They loved to travel. Whether it was to Vail for a long weekend, Hawaii or Mexico for a laid back vacation, or New York to take in some Broadway shows, Fred always enjoyed life to the fullest.
Per Fred's wishes he will be cremated with his ashes spread in Hawaii and New York. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and be catered by Rosenberg's Bagels and Deli when it reopens after a fire.
