Fran, 58, born to John and Daisy Saporito, passed away in her home on December 20, 2012. She is survived by her sisters; Marie Losito Mike, Theresa Lampasona Al, and Joanne O'Neill Eddie. She also left behind nieces; Lisa, Frances, Jennifer, Annmarie, Nicole, and Gina, great nieces; Katrina, Rebecca, Vanessa, Gabriella, Jessica, and Madison, and great nephews; Michael, Danny, and Dylan. Fran birthed no children of her own but through marriage committed herself to a life of loving two step-children Steve and Jill as if they were her own. Last, but definitely not least, she's left behind two beloved pets and countless friends including Crystal Lehman and Martha Cook.
Fran loved to have fun and laugh. She frequently entertained herself and others through practical jokes, assigning nicknames, captioning pictures, and mailing silly newspaper and magazine clippings to family and friends. She touched many lives along her journey. While she worked various jobs and met fabulous people, she finally found her home and her extended family at Champion Auto Carriers. No matter how stressful or busy the job became, she found great solace and joy in working with so many coworkers for whom she cared deeply.
While Fran was a New York native and her loyalties aligned loosely with the home teams of her hometown, her true love and devotion belonged to the Denver Broncos. Watching the team play was one of her favorite pastimes. Fran used to dread going to the office the day following a Broncos loss. She knew that she and her fellow loyalists would be sour over the loss for the better part of the day.
There is no way to measure the impact this one woman had on so many lives. She gave freely, asked for nothing, and literally loved every animal she ever encountered. She will be sorely missed and her impact will live on in the people who loved her and who were blessed to be loved by her.
A Memorial Service will be held in Fran's honor on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00am at Horan & McConaty – 3020 Federal Blvd. A gathering for friends and family will follow the service at Thornton VFW Post 7945 – 10217 Quivas Street.
