Evangeline Newton of Broomfield, Colorado, 94 years old, was born in Polk, Nebraska on February 20, 1918 and passed on July 17, 2012. Evangeline was a loving wife, mother of five, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother to many. She is survived by three children: Janet Thomas, Jay Newton, Susan Sterne and many grandchildren. She was predeceased by her late husband Donald Newton and two children: Barbara Jean Roby and Donald Neal Newton. She was a house-wife for many years and then worked at Joslins and retired from there. Evangeline commonly known to many as "Van" was loved by all family and friends. Van lived life to the fullest by being involved in Northglenn Senior Olympics, being on a bowling league, and spending time with her family and friends. Evangeline was a loving, courageous, generous, warm-hearted, kind and compassionate woman. She loved everyone and was kind hearted to all that crossed her path. Evangeline Newton, a loving mother, a loving grandmother and a loving friend to many will be truly missed! May GOD bless her!
