Eugene Roberts

Eugene "Gene" T. Roberts passed away just after midnight on Saturday October 6th, 2018 in Arvada, Jefferson County, Colorado. He is survived by Judith Roy, his beloved life companion of 29 years and her children, Michelle and Lauren. He is also survived by his children Mark and Carla, who's mother Patricia Boogar predeceased Gene; and his children Jeannine and Antony, who's mother Nancy Roberts predeceased Gene. Gene leaves a full family legacy of thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Gene was a loving, great man. He always put his family first. He was a compassionate man who genuinely cared for others. He gave wisdom and encouragement to his family well into their adult years. Unfortunately, he suffered from Alzheimer's disease in the last four to five years. Even so, we all remember his humor, his smile, his laughter and his great bear hugs.

Gene served in the United States Air Force in Germany during the Korean War. He then served over twenty years as a civilian teacher and administrator for Department of Defense Dependents' Schools (DODDS) in Japan, Korea and Okinawa. He retired as a GS-14. He then moved back to the United States and worked with his life-long hobby of collecting and restoring timepieces and other antiquities.

We all will forever remember him in the love and caring for our family and others that he also imparted in us to leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren. He lives not only in our memories, but also in our actions.
