Ethel (Swosinski) Mollinger, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2016 at Shalom Cares Nursing Home in Aurora, CO. She was born December 6, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI to parents Harry and Josephine (Wieruszewicz) Swosinski.
Ethel married Henry Mollinger in May of 1948. They had four children. She was employed by Globe Union in Milwaukee. Following Henry's death, Ethel relocated to Stevens Point, WI in 1974, where she was co-owner of Jay Dee's Bar and Lanes. She was later employed by Holt's Drug Store and Copps Grocery. Following a stroke in 2000, she relocated to Denver, CO to be close to her daughter and family.
Ethel is survived by her children: Ronald (Vicki) Mollinger, Valrico, FL; Scott Mollinger, Casa Grande, AZ; and Noreene (Carlos) Nogueira, Denver, CO; grandson Alex Nogueira, Denver, CO; and sister Wyonne Lewitz, New Holstein, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Henry; son, James; grandson, Ronald Jr.; beloved cousin, Mercy Otzelberger; and several siblings.
Ethel had a light-hearted joy of life. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, music, dancing, traveling (especially to Las Vegas) and a good brandy old-fashioned. Her kind spirit and gentle nature will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at Shalom Cares Nursing Home, 14800 E. Belleview Dr., Aurora, CO on Thursday, October 13 at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Voss officiating. Friends, family, and anyone else who's had the pleasure of knowing Ethel are welcome. A light reception will follow.
