Eric Graning of Castle Pines, Colorado, a beloved husband, father, son, brother & friend, passed away on August 24, 2014 of complications from a motorcycle accident.
Eric was born August 11, 1970 to Bruce and Bettie Graning in Waukegan, Illinois. After graduating from Warren Township High School, he received a B.S. in Finance with a Minor in Economics in 1992 from Northern Illinois University.
Eric's professional life began as a stock broker which became the start of a very successful business career. He quickly realized that his talents of finance, technology & business combined with his entrepreneurial drive would ultimately lead him to operating his own multi-state company.
Eric's life was filled by his passion for adventure, music, the outdoors, fitness & the love for spending time with his family and friends. Eric's drive for adventure & the outdoors is what lead him to Colorado in 1993. He enjoyed: rock climbing, heli-skiing, scuba diving, sky-diving, bungee jumping, water skiing, mountain biking and camping. Eric was known for having the best music selections and always making sure his many circles of friends were included in trips, concerts, social events and holiday celebrations. It was in Colorado where he met the love of his life, Kristi, and they married in 1997. Their first son, Tey, was born in 2002 and their second, Dax, in 2005. Eric dedicated much of his time to his boys; playing video games, playing catch, watching movies, skiing and exploring the outdoors on ATVs.
