Leo was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, uncle and grandpa. He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Muniz of 72 years of love. His children Elaine (Ron) Chavez, Joann (Lonnie) Valdez, Ronald Muniz twin Donald, Vanessa (Rudy) Herrera, Annette (Mike) Martinez, Lorraine (Glen) Gonzales and sister Virginia Lucero.

Of his 21 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter will be born in July 2025 and 18 great-great grandchildren. Numerous amounts of nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.

Leo was born to his parents Marina Rael-Muniz and Ruperto Muniz, he was born in Moses-Guy, NM. He was raised in Folsom NM, along with his siblings Evelyn Nuanes, Benito Muniz, Mariano (Tony) Muniz, Josie Rodriguez-Roybal, Caroline Cordova, Pablito (Paul) Muniz and Virginia Lucero.

Leo was an avid fisherman, hunter, camper, singer, dancer and loved being with family for all occasions. He loved each one of his family members in the same way, he brought his family to know the Lord Jesus Christ in the 70’s and was very spiritual and had a strong faith in the Lord God and Jesus Christ.

He was truly a jack of all trades, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, auto mechanics and landscaping. He shared his talents with everyone in the family and with friends and whoever was in need.

He will be immensely missed by all!
