Elnona Eva (Morrison) Sharp, age 84, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away peacefully August 26, 2021. Nona and her identical twin, Velnona, were born in Wellsville, New York in 1937. Nona and Vel attended Carnegie Institute of Technology in Cleveland, Ohio to be medical assistants. Upon graduating they moved to Buffalo, New York. Nona married William F. Sharp January 24, 1959. Together they raised four children, several dogs and more than a few cats. The Sharp family enjoyed many travels together to visit family and friends from Boston to Tampa. Disney World was one of her favorites. As her children grew up she went back to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She thoroughly enjoyed doing private duty for her patients. Bill and Nona retired and moved to Florida and had many fun adventures with family and friends. In 2012 they moved to Tennessee to be with family and it was wonderful. We wouldn’t have had it any other way. She is survived by her twin sister, Velnona (Richard) Krieger; son, Dan Sharp (Patricia); daughter, Cathy Rhodes (David); bonus daughters, Tracy Gasinski and Susan Freling; her Munchkins (grandchildren), Caroline Wasson (Jared), Natalie Rhodes, Eric Rhodes (Anna) and Karl Schneider (Jessica), bonus granddaughters Brittany Klemp and Katye Whorton (Jay) and several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Nona is predeceased by her husband, Bill, son, Bill Sharp, and daughter, Marilyn Sharp. Following Nona’s wishes, there will be no funeral service at this time. A Celebration Of Lives for Nona and Bill in Buffalo, NY will be planned for a later date. In lieu of a traditional service, we invite you to celebrate at home with close family and friends, a couple of animals, pancakes for dinner and your favorite beverage. Nona asked that donations be made to Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, the Dementia Society of America or Alive Hospice.
