Elizabeth "Jean" Crotchett was born and raised in Denver, went to East High School, and graduated from the University of Denver where she met her husband, Frank Moore. After graduation, Jean and Frank got married and she worked in a WWII war plant while Frank was sent overseas to the Philippines. After the war, they moved several times for Frank's work, raised their children near Chicago, and returned to Denver after his retirement.
Throughout her life, Jean's passions were her family, sewing, and traveling. Jean was a devoted family woman, living her life by example. Jean was a self-taught seamstress and made nearly all of her children's clothes including knitting their sweaters. While being available for her children as a stay at home Mom, she created a successful in home international quilted pillow kit business. Her love of travel, and her husband's international management job, took them to many countries and once around the world. She loved seeing the various landscapes and experiencing the cultures. Jean was also an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge, and was active in Pi Beta Phi sorority activities.
At age 91, Jean passed peacefully in her Denver home, surrounded by love in the presence of her three daughters. She is also survived by her sister and family, 3 sons-in-law, 7 grandchildren with 2 spouses, and 3 great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years.
