Serna, Edwina Mary
Age 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM was called home on March 3, 2017, just one day before her 82nd birthday. She fell asleep on Earth and woke up in Heaven.
She loved to sing and worship. In a letter written to her granddaughter, she wrote:
"I enjoy singing, which is not the best thing I do, but I praise God with my signing; He has not complained yet."
Edwina is preceded in death by her eldest daughter Loretta Gallegos. She is survived by her sister Nancy Chavez, and her 5 children, sons Carl Chavez and Michael Serna, and daughters, June Gomez, Bernadette Weeks, and Antoinette Cano. She enjoyed, and was loved by her 18 granchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Edwina's life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at New Beginning Church of God, 3601 Montgomery NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A reception will immediately follow.
