Edna Kristina Stone "Kris" of -Denver, Colorado died on Wednesday April 16, 2014. Kristina was born May 13, 1930 and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Marinus 'Nick' Andersen and Magda Larsen, she was the middle child and only daughter blessed to them. Kristina was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Albert, and son Mark. Kristina was a first-generation American as both her parents emigrated here from Denmark. Kristina lived most of her life in Los Angeles, California, starting in 1955 until retiring to Denver in 1997. It was in California that she married, had two sons, enjoyed her career, and developed many lasting friendships. She was also the proud grandmother to Colton and Kahley.
She married Carl Alfred Stone of Los Angeles, California in 1955. In 1956 Mark was born and 2 years later they had another son, Randy. Kristina and Carl were divorced in 1959 and Kristina lovingly and devotedly raised her two sons on her own.
Early on she worked as a teller for Bank of America before starting her long career as a sales rep and merchandiser for several lines of women's delicate wear manufacturers. Kristina's territory covered all of the greater metro Los Angeles and outlying areas and clients included Bullocks, Broadway, JW Robinson's, and I. Magnin department stores. Kristina loved her work and it was a perfect match for her effusive personality and her love of people. She enjoyed travel, cooking, playing cards at family gatherings, gambling in Las Vegas, and was always the life of the party.
More than anything, she was a loving mother who showered her children with every act of love and caring possible. She adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Randy; two grandchildren Colton and Kahley; and brother Robert.
Kristina's son and grandkids will bring her home to California where she will be interred at Forest, Lawn Hollywood Hills on a hillside close to her son Mark and not far from her parents.
Will See You Again

The sun shall rise,
and sure to set.
Her time has come,
have no regret.
Her life she lived,
we sure all know.
A better place,
she has to go.
Rejoice today
it's at an end.
And she will see us,
once again.
