Dorothy Ann Dhority was born in Albany, New York on January 2, 1919. She passed away in the presence of her beloved friend, Gilbert Lochhead on July 1, 2018 in Denver. Ann was preceded in death by her husbands Arnold R. Salzenstein, Edward Wake and Dallas Dhority. She is survived by her five children James (Denice) Salzenstein, Richard Salzenstein, Robert (Marsha) Salzenstein, Ann G. Aronoff (George) and Arnold "Skip" (Jayne) Salzenstein, Jr., and daughter-in-law Jan Cortez and son-in-law Miles Cortez. She was the beloved "Nana" to 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ann married Arnold Salzenstein in 1945 in Peoria, Illinois where their five children were born and raised. Ann was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a co-founder of the Peoria Civic Ballet Company. She moved to Denver in 1982 and led an eventful and fulfilled life enriched by her loving family, travel, dancing, shooting pool, holidays and parties where she was inevitably the last to say goodnight. A celebration of Ann's life will be held at the Heather Gardens Community Center at 2888 South Heather Gardens Way Aurora, Colorado at 4:00 pm on August 18, 2018. Interment at her final resting place will be at Springdale Cemetery, 3014 North Prospect Road, Peoria, Illinois at 4:00 p.m. on September 15, 2018.
