Dianne Eggleston Black, a popular former furniture saleswoman and a resident of Santa Fe for 36 years, died Monday, March 1 of cancer. She was 73.
Dianne was a native of Connecticut. After retirement, she lived with and took care of her mother in their apartment home near the top of St. Michael's Drive. Survivors include her mother, Bettina Eggleston; daughter, Jessica Madlener (husband Pat) of Santa Fe; and granddaughter, Miriam, a student at New Mexico State University. She was active with close friend, Jerry Dorbin, in the Hash House Harriers running/social club until suffering a back injury in a fall, several years ago.
She will be cremated. A private celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 13.
