Diane "Honey" Cantu (Chacon) died peacefully on January 7, 2017 in Aurora, CO after her long battle with ovarian cancer. She was 61.
Diane was born on October 21, 1955 to her parents, Guillermo and Olivama Chacon. She married Joaquin Cantu in 1975. The Cantu Family moved to Alamosa, CO where Diane owned the Music Man CD store. She dedicated her life loving and caring for her entire family.
Diane was the most wonderful wife and mother. Diane's passion was her grandchildren, and her enjoyment of music and dancing. She had the most beautiful smile, it lit up any room she would enter. Diane's best qualities were her loving, kind, patient heart and her supportive nature. Diane was the life and soul of her family and she will be forever missed.
Diane is survived by her husband, Joaquin Cantu and her daughter, and son-in-law, Angelina and Michael Nincehelser of Aurora, CO; her grandchildren, RJ, Brooklyn and Mikaela Nincehelser and Adonias and Sole Cantu ; her brother, Duane Chacon, sisters, Doris Molina, Denise Gonzalez, Dolly James, and Delane Salazar. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo and Olivama Chacon; her nephew, Michael Jason Sandoval.
Diane's wishes are to be cremated and a Memorial Service will take place on January 14, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at The District Clubhouse, 6300 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, CO, 80222. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Diane's life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to gofundme.com/73-diane-cantu.
