Diane "Pini" Abeyta went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 17, 2017 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born on June 8, 1957 to Belarmino Abeyta and Carmen Velarde Coull. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and father of her children, Kenneth Martinez, her paternal grandparents, Alfredo and Bersabe Abeyta and maternal grandparents, Pete and Mela Velarde. Surviving her are daughters Sonya and Elissa Abeyta, grandchildren Marissa and Monique Manzanares, Isaiah and Adam Garcia and Liam Olivares, siblings Antonio Abeyta, Janice Atencio, Eva Abeyta Salazar, Melani Fryer, brothers-in-law, Vicente Atencio, Mark Salazar and Bryan Fryer and her very dear friend JR Sandoval, plus several nieces/nephews, aunt/uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.
"Pini" as she loved to be called, adored her grandchildren and devoted her life to them. Full of life, she loved people, camping, motorcycle rides and attending boxing matches. She received her Associates Degree in Human Services and put it into practice. She was a devoted server of many. Beautiful inside and out, she turned heads wherever she went. Her smile would light up a room and she had so many friends, way to numerous to count. She enjoyed traveling, especially with the family because they always had so much fun together. Her laughter was unique and her love genuine. Pini leaves a huge hole in the hearts, of not only her family, but all who knew her. Her beautiful smile and sweet soul will be greatly missed.
Devotional services and celebration of life will be held at The Rock Christian Fellowship in Espanola, on Wednesday, August 23 at 6:30 pm.
