Derrick Mckizzie

Derrick Lee McKizzie, 57 of Littleton, Colorado died at 6:15am, Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Denver Hospice Center at Lowry. He was born November 18, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN son of Robert and Hazel McKizzie.

Heather Geeslin, Derrick's significant other survives along with their 9 sons as well as his 5 other children from previous relationships. Also surviving is his siblings, Robert Ray, Deborah Hill, Michelle Hennesy, Daniel, Robert Lee (Bobby), Jeffery McKizzie and Kimberly Bauer.

Derrick served in the US Navy in 1977 as an officer and was honorably discharged. He was a founder, president, CEO of Resurrection Records as well as Special Forces Security.

He earned his business Associates degree in California at UCLA. He Toured with TOTO and Jeffery Osborne in Japan. Derrick loved to sing and produce music. He enjoyed football and loved all of his kids. He also loved talking about and leading people to God.

Do to honoring Derricks wishes, there will not be a funeral or service provided. He will be cremated and buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
