Dennis Cecil Sellers

 Dennis Cecil Sellers, 81 years young. Dennis "Denny" was a resident of  Federal Heights, Colorado and formally of Portage, Michigan.  Denny passed away unexpectedly on  February 2nd, 2025. Where He was surrounded by His Family.  Denny was born December 14th,1943  in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Denny's Parents were Cecil and Evelyn (Matthews) Sellers.  Soon after High School, Denny was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly severed 1965-1967.  Then following His service and Honorable discharge, Denny worked at the Kalamazoo Papermill and then He worked at UpJohn (Pharmacia) company for 28 years,  until He retired.  On October 12th, 1984,  He married Bonnie (Brock) Young.  Together, Bonnie and Denny raised a loving Family, with 4 Daughters.  Barbara (Joe) Collins, Rebecca (Mike) Wheatley, Michelle (Sam) Duren, and Erin (Carl) Williams.  Denny was also a cherished Grandfather to His 12 beautiful Grandchildren:  Megan, Taylor, Matthew, Sean, Laura, Cody, Ashley, Katie, Jason, Summer, Meadow and Kenna!  Denny also has 4 Great Grandchildren:  Elana, Ben, Rosalie, and Jordan. Denny loved music, and he loved to take Bonnie dancing. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and camping. He really enjoyed riding his motorcycles with His Family and Friends.  He loved to collect his guns and knives, also enjoyed classic movies.  Denny was often considered the favorite chaperone for His Daughter's school trips.  He would speak to Everyone, always cracking jokes and He had a spunky personality.  He coached, supported or volunteered for all of His Daughter's and Grandchildren's sporting events, school plays, band, choir, fundraisers, etc!  Denny enjoyed life, a big part of that was attending church with his Family and all of the events that came with it..  Denny and Bonnie are Members of Applewood Valley UMC with a strong connection to Trinity UMC and Christ Church United Methodist.  A Memorial service will be held in the near future for Friends and Family in both States....
