Born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado on June 1st, 1960.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents Fred K. Dietz Jr. & Marguerite Y. Dietz (Zambo) and her husband Karl H. Deffert. She is survived by her brother and sisters, Freddy (Butch) Dietz [Yolie; spouse], Barbara Amendolari [John; spouse], Sandra (Sandi) Harrison; her children Paul F. Dietz, Karl M. Deffert, Jennifer Tatum, Lisa Grizzell, Amy Davis [JJ; spouse]; and her grandchildren Alexis (Lexi) Deffert and Emma Davis.
Debbie was a 1979 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, Colorado. She was married to Karl Deffert on July 14th, 1995, and stayed happily married until Karl's passing on December 3rd, 2012. Debbie was a SPED Para-Professional. She was not only great at what she did, working with children, she loved them as her own and took great pride in the care she gave.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and her dogs outside of work and made sure to start every morning with a cup of coffee.
She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spoke often about wanting to do interior design, she definitely had an eye for beauty. Debbie loved spending time in the mountains, enjoying nature and had a true appreciation for wildlife, often taking pictures to commemorate.
Debbie loved her family and friends and spoke of them often with the upmost love and sincerity. She took a little piece of each one of you and placed you in her heart, where you will forever remain.
