Dean Moses

June 15, 1948 — October 20, 2020

Dean Alan Moses was born June 15, 1948 in Providence, RI. He was born to Alva Coffin Moses and Francis Luther Moses and joined older sister, Beverly, to complete their family.

Dean passed at the age of 72 in his home in Centennial, CO on October 20, 2020.

Dean graduated from high school in East Providence, RI. He went on to graduate from Clark University, Worcester, MA while serving in the Rhode Island National Guard. From there he received his JD from Western New England College in Springfield, MA.

Dean leaves Sandi (Lovell) wife of 48 years, a daughter, Sarah (Brett) Pardikes of Frederick, CO and a son, Jared (Natalie) Moses of Florence, Montana. He leaves a sister, Beverly Sawyer of Warwick, RI as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dean moved his family to Colorado in 1978 working as an Oil and Gas Landman for ARCO Oil Company. His interest took him into the realm of Public Lands for several western states including Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, North Dakota and New Mexico. His involvement with the Bureau of Land Management and state legislatures was very rewarding to Dean.

While at ARCO, Dean was heavily involved with the United Way campaign. He represented his field of work for Junior Achievement – Denver, speaking to classes of 9th graders about careers in oil and gas. Dean was active in the Denver Chamber of Commerce and the Denver Area Petroleum Landmen's Association.

On the relaxing side, Dean was a bona-fide sun worshiper and loved soaking up the warm days of summer beside the ocean he so loved growing up. He made friends easily and would try anything once.

We will miss Dean, Husband, Dad, Uncle, Brother, Friend in this life hoping he is full of pride as he looks upon his family and friends and his many accomplishments. Nice Job, Dean.

A memorial service with family will be held at a later date.
