David Torline, son of Kevin Torline (deceased) and Jan Torline, of Denver, passed away October 16, 2017, with family by his side. Although poor health restricted his life experiences, David was a voracious reader. He created an extensive library that included archaeology, astrology, antique weaponry, mythology, the natural sciences, and world and American History. When he was younger, David volunteered his time at the Rio Grande Nature Center and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History in Albuquerque; David loved the area and his heart was drawn to New Mexico.
Dave was a 20-year member of Bat Conservation International and advocated greater educational opportunities for an important but frequently misunderstood animal.
David is survived by his brother Steve Torline of Denver; cousins John and Michael Schieffer of California; his aunt, Pat Schieffer, of Austin, Texas; his father's brothers Karl, Robert, and James; and Grace Torline of San Antonio, Texas.
