David Cook

October 16, 1951 — March 2, 2016

David Lee Cook, 64, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on March 2nd, 2016 in his home surrounded by his family.

David was born in Goshen, Indiana in October of 1951 to loving parents Nell and Chuck Cook.

David worked in the automotive industry in wholesale and retail sales. In 2009, David and his two business partners purchased Infiniti of Denver. This was one of his greatest achievements. He valued family, work, and living life to its fullest. His passions included skiing and golfing.

David was a loving husband to his wife, Jenene, a committed father to his children, Justin, Brian, Janna, and Stacey, and a sweet grandfather to his grandchildren Casey, Logan, Angel, Jasmine, Tommy, and Charlie. Dave also loved his daughter-in-law Karianne and his soon to be son-in-law Jeremy as if they were his own.

He cared deeply for his brothers Jerry, Steve, Jon, Brian and Tim Cook, their spouses, and his many nieces and nephews. His friends soon became part of his family as well.

David treated everyone he met with kindness and loved them without judgment. He had a great sense of humor and was politically incorrect in a way that was disarming and endearing; he had everyone laughing right to the end. He was a mentor and a role model to many and loved by everyone who knew him.

Please join us to celebrate the life of this great man on Thursday, March 10th at 3:00pm at Bear Creek Golf Club (12201 Morrison Road, Denver, CO 80228). Appetizers and drinks will be served in his honor. David requested that this be "one hell of a party."

His legacy will live on in all of those who love him. The values that inspired him are reflected in the mantras he espoused:

"The greatest thing of all is to love and be loved in return." - Moulin Rouge

"Gratefulness is the secret to happiness."

"If you love your life, everyone will love you too."

"Praise more, complain less."
