Daniel Lovelace

b. February 28, 1951

On July 1st, 2017 around 10:30 PM, surrounded by loved-ones Daniel Mark Lovelace "Lovey" passed away in Nashville, Tennessee. Lovey had recently been diagnosed with late stage lung cancer that had also moved to his brain. He was hospitalized due to complications related to his cancer and the Lord, in his great Mercy, took him suddenly and without suffering. This Earth has truly lost one of the last singing cowboys, but Heaven has gained some hilarity.
Lovey was born to Paul Daniel Lovelace and Marie Alfhild Lovelace (Anderson) on February 28th, 1951 in Bay City, Michigan, and was raised in Sebewaing, Michigan. Lovey traveled the whole world over and never met a stranger. He was a brilliant mind that could fix or make just about anything and could captivate a room (young and old) with his incredible knack for story or joke, second only to the original Lovey. He had a kind and giving heart and made friends in every corner of the world. He had an infectious laugh that you couldn't help but join in on. He had an adventurous and mischievous soul, and there was rarely a dull moment (or an early night) with him around. He was a lover of music and could name most any tune within the first few chords, though couldn't sing any of them worth a dam. He was most certainly an unforgettable man.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents (Paul and Marie Lovelace), his brother-in-law (Jim Yarborough), and multiple other close friends. He is survived by his four sisters (Janet Beers, Sharon Gugino, Paula Yarborough, and Cindy Boysen), his three wonderful children (Lindsay Sutton, Lauren Sedik, and Landon Lovelace), his former wife (Michelle Vayre), his five grandchildren (Drew Sutton, Sena Sedik, Gwynn Lovelace, Solan Sedik, and Gabby Lovelace), numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends and accomplices, and many grand-dogs.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Sebewaing, Michigan later this year with the date and time yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on his behalf to your Local SPCA or Animal Rescue.
