Daniel used his talents as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Ceramics in the Department of Art at the University of Mississippi.
He had several exhibitions, including the Mississippi Art Association Collegiate Exhibition and at the University of Mississippi.

Professionally, Daniel worked as a staff artist with Austin Hoffman and Associates Advertising Agency in Memphis, Tennessee.

When he wasn't creating art works, Daniel loved the outdoors. Especially four wheeling, biking, and hiking. He also loved visiting museums. And one other indoor sport: bar hopping and hanging out with this friends.
But most of all, Daniel loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Yuk Kam, his brothers Ted (Linda), Arnold (Janet) and Wayne (Lisa), and his nieces Kimberly (Mason Koo) and Stephanie.
