Craig Arthur Wilson, 71, of Denver, Colorado, died Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Denver Health Medical Center after suffering a severe stroke and brain hemorrhage on December 13, 2019. Craig was born October 20,1948 in Grand Island, Nebraska as the first child of Arthur and Doris Wilson. As a child, Craig lived in Nebraska, Arizona, and Colorado and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1966 and Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado with a degree in Sociology in 1971. During most of his life Craig worked as a Salesman including 10+ years at Colorado Utility Trailers. He was married to Sandy Price of Nebraska for 29 years before they divorced in 2006. They raised two sons, Travis and Tyler in Arvada, Colorado. In his younger years Craig enjoyed athletics such as skiing, football, track, golfing, fishing, hiking, camping, and bike riding. In his retirement he enjoyed walking his dog Zoro around Sloans Lake, oil painting landscapes to the Bob Ross style, following football and baseball, fantasy sport leagues, and socializing with friends and family. Craig is survived by his two sons, two grandchildren, his mother Doris of Golden,Colorado, two sisters Jane and Laura, and brother, Marc all of Colorado. Craig’s ashes will be spread in the mountains near Gunnison later this year by his family. At this time, no celebration of life is planned, but the family continues to thank everyone for their thoughtful outreaching and continued outpouring of memories in celebration of the full life that Craig lived. May he rest in peace.
