Coline Innes O'Donnell passed away peacefully on September 7, 2016, in Littleton, Colorado surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old.
Coline, and her husband Charles of 50 years who predeceased her in 2002, moved with their four children from New York to Evergreen in 1972, where they resided until 2003. They both loved their mountain community and had a wide circle of friends and activities. Coline worked for a number of years at the local Evergreen newspaper, The Canyon Courier, where she enjoyed her work in the darkroom. She was also a familiar face as a volunteer for the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce. Additionally she supported her husband's work with the Evergreen Rodeo for many years. They took full advantage of Colorado and enjoyed skiing and backpacking, reading and music sessions.
Coline may be best remembered for her beautiful songwriting. Inspired by her new home in the Rocky Mountains, and as a long time guitarist and writer, she wrote and performed her original songs throughout the country. Her songs reflected her personal beliefs in respecting and caring for the land, wildlife, and one another. She performed her original song "The Dove" in California for Habitat for Humanity.
Coline was a large presence in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her humor and intelligence endeared her to her friends, and her devotion to her family was uncompromised. She is survived by her daughter, Kerry Workman and her husband, Robert of Parker Colorado; son, Colin O'Donnell, Ph.D and his wife, Casey, of Golden, Colorado; daughter Tara Larwick and her husband Keith of Golden, Colorado; her son Scott O'Donnell, and his wife Kim, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
