Clifford “Clif” Edward Cox, Jr., of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Clif was born to Clifford and Dorothy Cox in Worcester, MA in 1958.
He graduated from St. John's High School and enrolled in Worcester Museum of Art school, later attending High Tech Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Clif also served in the United States Air Force as a tactical aircraft maintenance specialist.
Clif worked cabling telephones and computers and managing networks for most of his career. Some of the many highlights of his career includes the Pentagon; Raytheon in Boston; the development and installation of the call center monitoring equipment for Sitel in Colorado; the Georgia Dome, interstate highway cameras, and General Motors, all in Atlanta; the network transition for Y2K for the State of Arizona; the Air National Guard Base in Salt Lake City; Central New Mexico Community College IT services in Albuquerque and the Facebook facility in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
Clif enjoyed merging web development with his custom artwork, painting and drawing; Native American beadwork that he learned on the reservation, online poker and gaming, and restoring his 1976 Honda GL1000 Gold Wing.
The most defining characteristic of Clifford (Clif) Cox was his close relationship with God.
He was predeceased by his father Clifford Cox Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Andrea Eccher Cox, and two children, Nathan and Joy Cox along with his mother, Dorothy Cox, sisters Kathleen, Patricia, Maureen, and Lynn and brother, Thomas and many other family and friends.
Graveside Service to be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.
