Claudia Davids

June 20, 1951 — July 15, 2020

Claudia Grace Davids, born June 20, 1951 in Chicago Illinois, passed away peacefully in the morning on July 15, 2020 at the age of 69 from a hard fought battle with COPD in Parker, Colorado. Growing up in Highland, IN she graduated from Illiana Christian High School and went on to major in English Literature with a minor in Education at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While attending college she wed her first husband, Frank Kuiper. Claudia then was accepted into University of Chicago's Master's Program for Teaching but postponed furthering her education to start a family. She relocated to Colorado with Frank and daughter. After getting established, they had their first and her only son. She supported her children academically and athletically in addition to sharing with them her love for the Colorado outdoors, water activities, photography, art, writing and literature. Always a hard worker, Claudia had and enjoyed a career in advertising, eventually starting her own marketing/advertising company. In the late 1980s, Claudia met John Littleford, whom she married and had three more daughters. She stayed home to raise her kids and instilled in them a love of reading, classic rock music, cooking, and most importantly a relationship with their Lord, Jesus Christ. During this time she was also able to explore the world with trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Hawaii. Never one to pass up a learning opportunity, she made these trips memorable vacations and also valuable history and cultural lessons. After her "second litter" grew up, she completed her Master's Degree in Education which allowed her to realize her dream of teaching. She shared her passion for writing and English Literature with students at both Denver Christian and Parker Lutheran. A dedicated and energetic teacher, she also displayed her talents by sponsoring the yearbook and directing many high school plays including "Cinderella Wore Combat Boots" and "Murder by the Book". After her teaching career, she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who leaned on her faith as she provided guidance and wisdom to her family and friends.

Claudia is preceded in death by her beloved father John Davids. She is survived by her mother Jean Davids; brother, Jack (Nancy) Davids; sister, Patricia (Craig) Menninga; son, Justin Kuiper; daughters, Brett (Matthew) Meehan, Dana (Christopher) Conder, Lea (Spencer) Harms and Emma (Caleb) McDowell; numerous nieces, nephews and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral service will take place at Joy Lutheran Church on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 am. This service will be closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, but may be viewed post service. A link will be posted once it is available, as this will not be a live feed.
