Clarence Simmons of Arvada, CO passed away April 18, 2016 at Avista Hospital in Louisville, CO., surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born June 5, 1926 in Washington DC to Cyrus Simmons and Lulu Mary (Seller) Simmons.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, 5 children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Clarence Simmons graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. After High School he served his country as a member of the United States Army. After the war he went back to College where he received a B.S. degree at Andrews University in Berrien Spring, Michigan and later in his years he received a MBA.
Clarence spent the better part of his career after college as a Hospital Administrator in Battle Creek, MI, Fletcher, NC and Nashville, TN. He retired from a fruitful career and settled in Auburn, WA.
Most recently he and his wife Doris relocated to Arvada, CO to be near his youngest son and daughter-in-law where he spent his final days admiring the Rocky Mountains.
He was faithful to god throughout his entire life and often quoted the following bible verses:
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25
"Be Thou Faithful unto Death, and I Will Give Thee a Crown of Life." Rev 2:10
