Clarence "Sparky" Rogstad died Monday, January 15, 2018 in Weslaco, Texas.
Clarence was born January 18, 1937 in Quincy, Illinois to Edward and Hildegard Rogstad. Sparky graduated from Loyal High School, where he excelled in baseball, basketball, football, student body activities, and played an intricate role in renaming his high school to the, "Loyal Greyhounds". Sparky married Patricia M. Watson on September 14, 1957 at Sacred Heart Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin; they were married for 60 years. They lived in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where he worked for 25 years at Hutter Construction until 1981 when they moved to Lakewood, Colorado. He then worked in construction until he retired from Summit Construction in 2006.
Sparky was a member of the Elks Club, Eagles Club, and Knights of Columbus.
Sparky was an avid hunter, loved the Green Bay Packers, enjoyed dancing, traveling with his wife, Pat, across the country, and many other passions. The greatest memory of traveling with Pat, was their 3 month trip to Alaska to enjoy fishing and sight seeing. His greatest passion was dancing with his wife doing the polka.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Clarence on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church at 9405 West Florida Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80232.
