Christopher Simpson

A tragic accident took the young life of 47 year old Christopher Simpson on February 15th. Chris, born on January 5, 1970, was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, son in law, brother in law and friend to many. He leaves many loving memories and lessons about the importance of making the best of the time our Lord provides us here on earth. He was married to Renee West on April 13, 1997 in Denver. They have three children Christopher Jr., Brooke, and Hunter. He is also survived by his father Rodney Simpson and his sister Ramee Martinez. His beloved Mother Kathy preceded him in death. Chris loved sports and was an avid Denver Bronco fan. He played football while on a scholarship at Western State College. Joining the Navy in 1988, Chris served his country as a sailor. A fond memory is when his father met him in Hawaii and together they sailed on a special Father/Son voyage aboard an aircraft carrier to San Diego. He was active in his church as his spiritual life helped make him the loving person he was. His wife and children were of utmost importance to him and caring for them was one of his greatest joys. He loved his Grandparents Eppie and Betty Jaramillo and always made time for them. A memorial service for Chris will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 4th at New Hope and Christ Church located at 9901 West 50th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80003.
