Christopher Mark Linney, 60, of Denver, CO, formerly of Lower Burrell, PA, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the comfort of his home.
Chris was born on March 26, 1964, in Altoona, PA, but grew up in Lower Burrell, PA. He graduated from Burrell Senior High School in 1983 and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Chris moved to Denver, CO, in the mid-80s, where he began his career in sales and services. He lived there for almost 40 years. Despite residing in Denver for all those years, Chris always remained a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan. To say he was a Steelers fan was an understatement; people could see Chris coming from miles away, proudly wearing his black and gold and waving his Terrible Towel. He was also a devoted fan of the Penguins and Pirates.
Chris was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews: Rachel Campbell, Jared Lowdermilk, Caleb Lowdermilk, and Nicole Clay Brett. Survivors include Robin Clay (Michael) of Wexford, PA; Edward James Linney III of New Kensington, PA; and Anne Linney of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James Linney, Jr. and Beverly Crawford Linney.
Chris will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts. A celebration of his life will take place in the future with close friends and family.
