Charlie Weber died peacefully on July, 8th at Christus St Vincent in Santa Fe at the age of 64.
Charlie is survived by his wife Patsy and his 5 boys, Adam (Jessica), Charles (Jasmine), Joe (Arianna), David, Juan Diego. And his loving sister Emily Espinoza (Danny). Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Andrea Esperanza and Eutimio Joe Weber.
Charlie was born on January 11, 1952 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Joe and Esperanza Weber. Charlie graduated from Mora in 1972. He married his sweetheart, Patsy, in 1981. After moving to Golondrinas, Charlie began working for local contractors as a laborer/builder. Over the next 14 years, the couple welcomed five children into their home and Charlie set about teaching them how to work the land, manage livestock and to always look on the brighter side of life. His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient and giving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Charlie is lovingly remembered by his four grandkids, Penelope, Linus, Oryn and the littlest Weber, Silas.
Charlie was accomplished at building and often talked about the many homes he helped put up along 6,7,8th street in Las Vegas, NM. He was a generous individual who loved the finer things in life, like spending his time with his children and grandchildren and who was passionate about the word of God and his faith in all people. He was an active and dedicated member of the Morada de San Antonio in Buena Vista, and often spent many nights praying for the sick.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 at St Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM. Rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a memorial mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. A reception to follow at the Golondrinas Fire Dept. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlie’s life.
