Cecilia Stewart

Cecilia Virginia Stewart - 85, born in Moreni, Romania, June 25, 1926, passed away in Denver, Colorado on February 24, 2012. Cecilia is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stewart, of 55 years, her parents, George and Miriam Bannantine; as well as her brother, James Bannantine. Surviving Cecilia Stewart, are her children: Carrie, Barbara, David Brenda, Bruce Jeanne, Mark LaTricia, Keith, Scott Kerri, George Shawn, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. She is also survived by brothers George Bannantine, Jr. and William Bannantine. Cecilia will long be remembered as a kind, loving, peaceful and generous person, with great empathy for the poor and underprivileged. Aside from raising 8 children, Cecilia's greatest accomplishment in life was her graduation from Colorado University, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1981. Cecilia had numerous interests, including the theatre, classical music, reading, cooking, walking, and happy hours. She also had a passionate interest in local and national politics. Mother, we love you with all our hearts and hope to continue your legacy of caring and concern for others. Funeral Mass will be held at Church of All Saints 2559 S. Federal blvd. Denver, Co. March 2nd at 10:00 am. There will also be a wake at 7:00 pm, March 1st at the Church.
