Carole Eileen Wagemann was born in Wahoo, NE on November 20, 1951 to Eileen “Morrissey” and Harvey Wagemann. She passed from our lives following a brief illness on December 26, 2022 at the age of 71. She was with her daughter Lizzie Miller and sister Dianne Wagemann at the time of her passing.
Carrie graduated from Wahoo High School in 1970 and went on to study at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She then studied nursing at Immanuel school of nursing and received her BSN from Loretta Heights College in 1982. She pursued a lifelong career in pediatric nursing that concluded as a school nurse at St. Thomas More school.
She became a mother in 1990 with the birth of her only child Elizabeth Alexandra Miller. She was a devoted mother who always encouraged Lizzie to forge her own path. She loved Lizzie unconditionally, demonstrated that there is strength in kindness, and that life is always better with a good laugh.
Carrie enjoyed gardening and sharing a bottle of wine with good friends and family. She shared time with her neighbors on “the greens” between their homes whenever possible.
Carrie grew up a farm girl in Wahoo and was always an advocate for animal rights. She joined a few of her neighbors in feeding the bunnies that frequented “the greens.” She was also very generous with her time to multiple animal rescues, shelters, and others in need.
Carrie was preceded in death by her father Harvey Wagemann. She is survived by her only child Lizzie Miller of Welches, OR; mother Eileen Wagemann of Wahoo, NE; three sisters, Dianne Wagemann (Jim Gannon) of Rio Rancho, NM, Nancy Wagemann of Omaha, NE and Jayne Jennings (Chris) of Wahoo, NE in addition three nieces and other extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Thomas More 8035 S Quebec St. Englewood, CO 80112 on 12/31/22 at 1:30 PM.
