Carol Wolford

Departed on June. 7, 2012 and resided in Aurora, Co.
Carol was born to Joe C Harris and Frankie E Blanchard at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs Colo. After moving around the country in her growing up years the family moved to Bennett Co. in 1978, where she graduated from Bennett High School several years later. She was active in the FBA and became president of the Colorado district of the FBA. Upon graduating she took futher schooling to become an accounting manager of a large Architectural firm in Denver. She met and married Michael Wolford on Dec. 3rd 1993 and moved to Aurora Co. where she remained living until her death. She contacted cancer in 2007 and became a very active participant in anything related to cancer from that time on. She was a four year survior and then the cancer returned and she fought on and worked full time until about 3 months before her death. One son was born to her and Mike Wolford on Jan 15, 1998. Zak was the pride and joy of her life. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife and mother and a special friend to many. She was a Godly woman with a huge loving and compassionate heart and showed everyone she knew how to live and die of cancer with tremendous grace and courage.
Carol is survived by her parents Joe Harris and Frankie Blanchard, her son Zak Wolford, former mate Mike Wolford and four brothers Chuck, Chad, Corbin, and Cole Harris as well as many nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed.
Services will be held at the Horan & McConaty Chapel at 1091 S. Colo. Blvd Denver Co on June 16th at 11:00 am with a reception at Carol's home following the memorial service.
