Bruce Wayne Julius Bunn passed away on September 30, 2018 after a brief illness with aggressive metastatic duodenal cancer. He was held and surrounded by his loved ones.

‘Bruce' was born on December 1, 1953 in Huron, South Dakota. He was the middle child, and only son, of Rev. Wayne Bunn and Betty Lou (Fallon) Bunn. Bruce spent his formative years in Madison, SD, Lincoln, NE, and Denver, CO. His favorite memories of his youth were the summers and holidays spent at his grandparents' North Dakota farm and the various vacations and holidays with Bunn, Fallon and Hutchinson families.

While attending Lincoln Northeast High School, Bruce was involved in creative arts programs and gymnastics. At the Nebraska State Gymnastics Championships, he ranked First-In-State on Parallel Bars and Second on Rings. After earning a scholarship, he attended the University of Nebraska, studying drafting and architecture.

During his career, Bruce obtained degrees, certificates and licenses in California and Colorado, which allowed him to follow his passion of general contracting, specializing in residential builds and remodels. Bruce expanded his expertise with innovative installations such as the federal government's first Colorado solar field.

When Bruce started his own business, "Creative Concepts," he was able to pursue projects which inspired him. He excelled in artistic, creative solutions to rebuild or remodel homes. Clients, who described Bruce as "extremely ethical, professional, and a great listener," were often amazed by his innovative ideas and exquisite craftsmanship, which he seemed to execute effortlessly.

Bruce, and his love, friend, partner and wife, Barb, chose early retirement in order to use their gifts and talents from God to create a ministry which assisted others in improving and rebuilding their own lives. They were a team, bonded by their great, quiet love, each excelling in their own areas of expertise. They lived simply and used their time and finances to travel to help others. People blessed enough to receive their help referred to them as "humble, compassionate, and exceptionally talented and Fun!" During their ministry, they renovated, remodeled, repaired and decorated the homes of many family members and friends, often for nothing more than a warm space to temporarily call home. As in many ministries, Bruce and Barb were generous, never boastful, lived on nothing more than was provided them, and often completed "surprise" projects that were unnoticed until they had left.

Bruce was a role-model to others, an outdoorsman and conservationist, and enjoyed sharing his childhood love of the outdoors and nature with his children, grandchildren and family by taking them on snow-skiing, camping, boating and water-skiing excursions, often in the mountains, which he referred to as "God's Country."

Travel was always a great adventure for Bruce and Barb, whether for pleasure or to help family or friends. They cruised to Alaska and the Caribbean, vacationed in St. Thomas, visited Canada and Mexico, took road trips through most of the United States and its National Parks, vacationed in Hawaii often, and recently toured and cruised through China.

Bruce always offered to help and share with others, no matter who they were, or how grand or tiny the gesture or task. He chose to see the good in people, the beauty in life, and to live every day with Hope.

"Well Done, thou good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25:23.

Bruce is survived by his wife and true partner of over 30 years, Barbara Talley; daughters Wendi Bunn and Heather Joyce; stepsons Martin, Gregory and Stephen Talley; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters Pamela Loar and Deborah Hanson; nephew Sean Hanson; aunt Beverly Hutchinson; uncle Dale Bunn; and many loving in-laws, family, cousins and friends.
