Brenda Francis Dillon
April 8, 1945, to August 15, 2022
Brenda began life as a beautiful curly headed baby born on April 8, 1945, to Dorleen Cecil Jones. At the age of two she went to live with her beloved grandmother and grandfather. They raised her in a loving home and were always proud of her. She was the only girl living with five male cousins and she learned early on to love sports and all things male. Brenda was deeply proud of her Indian heritage which bestowed in her great strength. She was a lover of animals and owned many through the year’s most recently Kevin the cat. She was beautiful and modeled for many years as a teenager. She was also a model student, graduating from high school at the age of 16 as the class valedictorian. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in accounting with a 4.0 GPA.
Brenda embraced life, always taking its challenges and making them into triumphs. In return God blessed her in many ways. First and foremost, he gave her three beautiful sons, Michael, David, and Scott whom she loved above all else in life. She raised them to be strong men and good husbands. They each married and gave her marvelous daughters-in-law, Lisa, Donna, and Teresa, grandchildren, Brandon, James “April”, Blake “Jenna”, and Chandler and a gorgeous great granddaughter Victoria who were an unending source of pride and great comfort. She is also survived by her beloved brother Rob Bourne. Scott and Teresa welcomed her into their home where she lived out her days.
Brenda was active in her community and as a result had many close friends who loved her unconditionally. Her involvement in the Hermitage United Methodist Church and ISA (the Institute for Self-Actualization) gave her fulfillment as well as an opportunity to give to others. She was a committed patron of T Pac.
