Bobby was born to the late Ed Hosey and Odessa Hooper in Minden, WV.  She left Minden at an early age to seek employment in New York where she worked as a Supervisor for the Port Authority of NY & NJ for almost 30 years.  During her tenure there, she met the love of her life, Van H. Bailey, a Port Authority Police Officer.  They were married for 25 years and parted upon his death on September 22, 2000.    

Bobby was the fifth of eleven children.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Kenneth Hosey, Jerry DeVaugh Hosey, Thomas Roland Hosey and Edward Hosey (Faustina Shearer) and her sisters, Linda Marie Hosey, Shirley Hosey Woodson (Sam), Drema Hosey Robinson (Cordell), Marcella Hosey.  She is survived by her sisters, Gloria Hosey Biggers (Donald), Old Hickory, TN and Genevieve Hosey Bailey (Ronald), Fairburn, GA.  She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends and her beloved “Grandson” Thomas Tunstall (Lydia)

The family is especially grateful for the care given to her by her devoted nieces, Paula Hosey and Deborah Wright as well as her caregiving team, loving nephew Thomas Hosey, Greta Joyner, Phyllis Pugh, Quintona Summers, Drs. Watson and Womack and her caring neighbor Shirley Page.  Her final resting place will be on September 29, 2023, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, College Park, GA.
